I am taking part in Moving through May, a distance challenge to raise money for the Kier Foundation, as well as East Anglian Air Ambulance, The Christie Charity and the Bodie Hodges foundation which were carefully selected by the people within my business division. 

In the month of May I've committed myself to covering 300km. 

 By making a donation in these constant changing and challenging times you are helping to support the awesome work that charities do, when their services are needed more than ever. We are joining up with our Kier colleagues, suppliers, friends and families across the UK to help raise an amazing amount of money for charity.

Week One ✅

Tuesday 7th May
First week complete, distance is off track a little due to bit of a hip injury- not helped by a tumble when teaching my son how to ride his bike at the weekend. He succeeded 👏🏼 and it certainly helped me to get some steps in but now a little injury set back to contend with. Some highlights of the week: 1. Walking and listening to an interesting podcast about relationships (married men who kiss their wives goodbye before work live 4 years longer than those who don’t!) 2. Walking with my Mum! Having an uninterrupted long walk ans catch up together. A rare hour. 3. Steps (running!) helping my son to learn to ride his bike. Before ‘the fall’ 4. Bank holiday weekend with some sunshine meaning plenty more opportunity for steps outdoors! 5. A couple of days of work visiting Sheffield to watch the snooker world championships. Plenty of steps before and after a great quarter final session.
